Medical alcohol detox at The Bluffs

Many people will begin their alcohol addiction treatment with detox. Because an alcohol detox can be dangerous and, in some cases even life-threatening, our patients go through this process under the supervision of our trained medical personnel. That way, patients can overcome the early stages of recovery as safely and comfortably as possible.

The trained staff at The Bluffs Addiction Campuses monitor the patient’s vitals and withdrawal symptoms while providing emotional support. In many cases, the patients in our alcohol detox program will also undergo medicationassisted treatment and be prescribed certain medications that can aid in the detox process and prepare them to enroll in our addiction treatment programs for lasting recovery.

What is alcohol rehab at The Bluffs?

Alcohol rehab helps you stop drinking safely, repair the stress alcohol has caused, and build daily habits that support sobriety. You’ll work with a dedicated care team in a structured, private setting.

Do I need alcohol detox first?
If withdrawal is a concern, we’ll start with medical detox and 24/7 monitoring. Our goal is comfort and safety, then a smooth transition into therapy.
What happens after detox?

You’ll follow a daily schedule of individual and group therapy, education, wellness activities, and relapse-prevention planning. We start aftercare planning early so you leave with a clear roadmap.

Which therapies help with alcohol use disorder?

We use evidence-based approaches like CBT and DBT alongside motivational work, coping-skills practice, and family sessions. Everything is tailored to your needs.

Do you treat mental health concerns that come with alcohol use?

Yes. We screen for co-occurring conditions and treat them alongside alcohol use so both sides of the problem are addressed.

Are medications used for alcohol recovery?
When clinically indicated, medications can help reduce withdrawal symptoms and support early stability. Your medical team will discuss options and monitor your response.
How long is alcohol rehab?
Timelines are individualized. We’ll recommend a stay length after your assessment and keep you updated as you progress.
Can my family be part of the process?
